Luxury
bedding, sometimes referred to as luxury designer bedding, is not just using
the best materials, having exclusive or limited quantity designs, or fine workmanship, its also
having several coordinating pieces to give the bed a luxurious look. Take for
example the following pieces that
basically make up a luxury bedding set:
- The
comforter set consisting of 1
comforter, 1 bed ruffle or
skirt and 2 shams that can go
on a queen or king size bed.
- The
sheet set consisting of 2 pillow
cases, 1 flat sheet and 1 fitted sheet.
- Euro
pillows, usually 2 to 3 pieces, which may be purchased stuffed or separate
as inserts. Use 2 Euro pillows if
you have a full or queen size bed and 3 pieces if you have a king size
bed.
- Additional
pillows maybe added to give the bed
a full and opulent look. The following usually
complete the look: 1 to 2 pieces square throw pillows, 1 to 2
rectangular boudoir pillows, a
round pillow, a bolster or neck
support pillow and a throw blanket.
Not every luxury bedding sets have all the items listed above. The
basic components of a classic
luxury bedding are usually the first eight pieces (sheet and comforter sets ). The rest are accessories that are added
depending on how just how you want your bed to look.
Luxury
bedding used to be available only to
the wealthy and privileged members of society. However,
the availability of more high quality
materials and improved manufacturing
processes has made luxury bedding affordable
to most people.
What is common in luxury bedding is that they
are made of superior materials and
exhibit the best designs and workmanship. The best luxury bedding depends mainly
on individual preferences. In choosing your luxury bedding keep in mind
that it should make your room your most favourite
room in the house.
